Intro
20 Something Adventurer and Accountant Based in Nottingham, UK.
Welcome to my world, here you’ll find the details behind my photographs, with hints and tips on what I’ve found on my adventures. Hopefully you’ll get some inspiration to jump in the car, book that flight ticket and get out and explore!
When I’m not behind a lens I can be found with my wonderful wife Beth and our two Border Terriers, Alfie & Monty (they are super cute!).
More About The Notts Nomad
I actually wasn’t born in Nottingham, sorry to spoil the illusion! I grew up on the outskirts of Loughborough and spent a lot of my teenage years in the Air Training Corps (Air Cadets) which really fostered my spirit of adventure. Whilst in the Cadets I completed my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award in Bavaria, flew solo and explored all of the Europe, despite the discipline (which didn’t do any harm) there was always an opportunity to try something new!
I moved to Sheffield for University, a city I became really fond of, to study Business. I then moved to Suffolk for a year for a Finance Placement with a large German manufacturing company (their name sounds like the sound you make when you hit something!).
Following my placement I spent a summer in Kenya teaching business and working with small entrepreneurs and that’s where my blog was born, check out my early posts. Kenya really opened my eyes to a world that I had never seen before and I captured lots of it through my camera and by writing a blog of my adventure.
I shared my African adventure on my return to Sheffield and was named the Student Unions Student of the Year, with the Union sponsoring two students the following year.
